i’ve known from very early on that my husband was obsessed with pets.
our relationship began because of a cat.
he has more pictures in his phone of my uncle’s dog than of me.
so we did it. after 10 years together. a million conversations on the topic. being chastised by friends even though it was casey dragging his feet over the last few months. we got that man a puppy.
she’ll be coming home tomorrow.
are you all familiar with my [dad’s] red light green light theory [if not, go read the post – it’s important]? and then, check out this string of lights…
a friend recommended a breeder of the type and size we wanted.
they had two litters on the way.
green light
we signed up to be on the waiting list for the october litter.. because we overthink everything and figured we needed more time.
green light
i found out i was being officially laid off from my job and my schedule to take care of a puppy was no longer an issue
green light
my last day at maritz would be august 28.
the puppy was available august 29.
green light
i saw her online the day after the big news of my impending career change and texted casey. last puppy remaining. my preferred coloring.
green light
casey said we would wait to decide when i got home from my two week trip to wisconsin.
green light
the puppy was still available.
green light
we got the man a puppy.
green light
and luckily, we’ve puppied before. [fully aware that’s not a word and completely fine with it.]
oh.
were you expecting more information and details and maybe even to see some pictures of the actual puppy?
not yet… but casey is going to start an instagram to capture all of the cuteness. it took very little coaxing. he takes more pictures of animals than would be considered normal.
so in the meantime, here’s the hubs with some other people’s pets.
enjoy.
